DX Client 2.7.1 is a small program which will allow you to connect to a certain IP address. (example: 81.22.21.34)
If you have a CCTV Digital Video Recorder (DVR) connected to the internet you can connect to it using this program. It will allow you to view the cameras from any computer as long as you have this program installed and have an internet connection.

Download the DX Client 2.7.1:

      Hi,
      Thank you for the message.

I had a look for a alternative for the mac but havent been able to find one myself.

      Extra Ideas:

      BOOT CAMP:
You could dual boot on your mac with Boot Camp: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boot_Camp_%28software%29

So you just boot Windows and run the DX Viewer on there.

      PARALLELS:
You can also run Parallels on your Mac and this will allow you to run windows programs on your mac rather than keep booting up Windows.

      Take a look here:
      http://www.parallels.com/uk/products/desktop/

DUAL INPUT – PICTURE IN PICTURE
Some monitors also allow dual input so you could connect the DVR (Digital video recorder) straight to an input on a flat screen monitor such as an HDMI. Then you can either click the “source” button or on some monitors you can choose PIP (Picture In Picture) so the other input from the DVR to the monitor will be displayed in a little box over laying the other input e.g your Mac desktop.

If you need any more info on the alternative ideas just let us know.

      Regards,

      Jason Kench

I am trying to use the dx client to connect my surveillance cameras to my laptop. I am using windows vista. The error message I keep receiving is “Connect Failed No stream timeout”.

All your help is graciously appreciated.

      Hi Markus,

Try this app either found on the Play Store or on Google.
“XMEye” this app has been brilliant for me to view my CCTV from anywhere in the world although I do actually have a different setup now.

Let me know if it is of any help.

      Cheers,
